Terminologies and Classification of Control System.
Basically a control system is a system which give desired output by changing the either input or the output itself, in a control system no internal changes in system is required but remains the same but the input is changing for getting desired output.
Examples of Control Systems:
Traffic Light Control Systems.
Washing Machine.
Refrigerator.
Airconditioner.
Classification of Control System:
Control system can be classified as either continuous time control system or discrete type control system, it's classified on behalf of type of input apply on a system, it's also classified on behalf of type of input and output, single input single output (SISO), multiple input multiple output (MIMO).
Continuous time control system.
When input to the control system is continuous signals means the signal which is varying with time then such type of system is called continuous time control system.
Discrete time control system.
If a input to the control system is discrete means discrete with respect to time and define on particular instance of time then such type of system is called discrete time control system.
Single input single output control system:
When a input to the control system is single and output of a system is also single then such system is also called single input single output control system (siso).
Multiple input Multiple Output Control System.
If a input and output are multiple in number then such system is called multiple input multiple output (MIMO).
Open Loop Control System:
When output is not feedback to the input then such system is called open Loop Control System means input is independent on output, input are output independent.
Close Loop Control System:
When output is feedback to the input then such system is called close loop control system, in this system input is output dependent and change in accordance with the output.
