What is ssc:-

Staff selection commission (SSC) is a central government recruitment body which recruit for central government group B,group C,group D posts just like HR in private companies SSC hier for central government after UPSC posts those are left are filled by SSC.

What is SSC CGL?

Qualification for SSC CGL:-

Over all qualification for ssc cgl exam is a graduate for every post but no special criteria for percentage is required student with any percentage is appear in exam even final year student also appear in exam but some post which is called JSO may criteria is bit different.

Fees for SSC CGL:-

Fees for ssc cgl for general and OBC men candidates fees is 100₹ rupees but no fees for ST/SC and women candidates PH candidates and ex-army personal.

Scheme for SSC CGL Examination:-

Ssc cgl is divided into four parts Tier 1,Tier 2,Tier 3 and Tier 4 whereas Tier 1 and 2 is computer based objective test and Tier 3 is subjective means written exam Tier 4 is only for some special posts which we discuss later.

SSC CGL Scheme for Tier 1 exam:-

For Tier 1 scheme has general awareness for 25 questions with 50 marks each question have 2 marks similarly reasoning, quantitative aptitude and english comprehension also have 25 questions where every question have 2 marks these are computer based test of 1 hour each Tier 1 negative marking of .50 for every wrong answer .

SSC CGL Scheme for Tier 2 exam:-

Ssc cgl Tier 2 having four different papers paper 1 is based on quantitative aptitude(maths) paper 2 is based on english language and comprehension paper 3 is based on statics paper 4 is based on general studies(finance and economics) paper 1 is for 100 mark's with 200 questions paper 2 is for 200 mark's having 200 questions paper 3 is for 100 mark's having 200 questions paper 4 is for 100 mark's having 200 questions paper 1 and 2 is compulsory for every post but paper 3 is specially for JSO posts and paper four is for accounts related posts only in Tier 2 negative marking of .25 for paper 2 english comprehension and for paper 1,3,4 negative marking of .50 for every wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Scheme :-

Ssc cgl Tier 3 exam is a subjective paper based on pen and paper mode descriptive paper in english and hindi(written of essay/precis/letter/application etc) it's hundred mark's paper having duration of 60 Min's.

SSC CGL Tier 4 Scheme:-

Ssc cgl Tier 4 is for special posts only it have computer proficiency test and data entry test these exam is only for those candidates who selected such post which require computer knowledge these posts are i) assistant section officer CSS ii) assistant section officer fraud investigation officer iii) post under ministry of corporate affairs iv) Ministry of mines.

Syllabus of SSC CGL Tier 4 Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) :-

i. Word processing.

ii.Spread sheet generation.

iii.Slide generation.

Syllabus of SSC CGL Tier 4 Data Entry Skill Test(DEST):-

This test is only for tax assistant in central exercise and incom tax department in this test basic requirement is to press 8000 key depression on a computer in an hour is require a paragraph of 2000 words is written on 15 mins is require.

Note: both Computer Proficiency Test(CPT) and Data Entry Test(DET) is just for qualifying in nature their mark's is not be a part of over all cut off.

Physical Test Criteria for SSC CGL:-

There are certain posts in ssc cgl like inspector in (central exercise and examiner, preventive officer) inspector and sub inspector in CBN requir physical test requirement of physical test are i) height of 157.5 cm ii) chest 81cm(fully expended with minimum expansion of 5 cm) iii) walking of 2600 meters in 15 minutes iv) cycling of 8 km in 30 minutes.

Cut Off for SSC CGL:-

Cut off is different for each year but over all cut off is nearly 75% approx each year cut off is not announce individually it's aggregate of Tier 1,Tier 2 and Tier 3 and CPT and DET mark's are not added in over all mark's but it's qualifying in nature is candidate not fill computer related post he may be ask for document verification before going.

Interview for SSC CGL :-

After 2016 ssc cgl doesn't have interview system only clearing examination is sufficient.

Salary for SSC CGL :-

For posts having 4800 grade pay salary for these posts are approx 60k to 65k for 4600 grade pay salary is nearly 58000 and for 4200 grade pay salary is nearly 40000 and if grade pay is 2800 then salary is may be 30000 to 35000 if grade pay is 2400 then salary may be 25000 to 30000 per month these all salaries are just approx salary depend upon many factor like pay commission allowances etc.
